Movement in the Classroom


Session Description

Want to improve student test scores, behavior and get them more engaged in learning? Let’s get their feet and bodies moving so their brains are working in tandem. We'll share strategies to make it happen.

Learner Outcomes
By the end of the sessions participants will know / be able to: 
  1.  Incorporate movement into my lessons
  2.  Actively engage students in learning
  3.  Understand the significance of adding movement to classroom

Activity 1:

Preparatory Movement activities- discuss strategies such as Wobbly Man

Activity 2:

Instructional Break activities- wheel of movement, transition strategies, attention getters, stretches
