Session Description

Effective school leadership embodies a myriad of skills and talents which assist in creating an authentic culture of collaboration, accountability and an overall standard of excellence in educational service to students, parents, teachers and colleagues. This session addresses the art of keeping a delicate balance between creating a unified, caring and professional community of learners, while establishing a culture of instructional excellence and accountability in leadership.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of the sessions participants will know / be able to: 
  1. Understand the importance of creating a culture of reflection, accountability and collaboration.
  2. Facilitate the teacher evaluation process effectively and with efficacy.
  3. Create and follow a comprehensive observation and evaluation plan for teachers and administrators as aligned with the NCEES.
  4. Utilize specific resources that will assist in providing meaningful post-observation conferences with comprehensive feedback. 
  5. Establish “next steps” to ensure that there is an authentic connection between the teacher evaluation process, school culture and student achievement.

        Day 1

        Today will focus on the NCEES system and how evaluations and feedback make for an effective instructional culture.

        Day 2

        Today we will review the M-Powerment Strategies and the resources available to our teachers. We'll also take an in-depth look at how to provide effective feedback.

        Day 3

        Today will focus on how we can lift up school leaders and be more effective as leaders.
